HB658 imposes an eight percent local privilege tax on net gambling revenue from historical horse racing pari-mutuel wagering on computerized machines at Macon County race track licensees. The Macon County Racing Commission would collect the tax from each historical horse racing licensee and distribute it according to local law. The tax would be exclusive of and supersede other local taxes, fees, or commissions on these activities. It becomes effective on the first day of the second month after passage and approval.
