Title

Alabama State Port Authority; Code Commissioner authorized to change references to Alabama State Port Authority, State Port Authority, and Alabama State Docks Department to Alabama Port Authority, provisions establishing the Alabama Port Authority repealed

Description

This bill would change the name of the Alabama State Port Authority to the Alabama Port Authority.

This bill would authorize the Code Commissioner to change all references to the State Port Authority, the Alabama State Docks Department, and the Alabama State Port Authority to the Alabama Port Authority.

This bill would repeal the 1975 laws establishing the Alabama Port Authority because it is an obsolete entity.

However, this bill would not dissolve the current port authority of the state.
