Adrienne Moffett Powell

Adrienne Moffett Powell is a candidate for Jefferson County Circuit Court Judge, Place 23 in the Domestic Relations Division. It is an "open" seat race, and the Democratic Primary Election will take place on May 24, 2022.

Adrienne brings to the table more than 13 years of experience as a practicing attorney. She graduated with honors from Miles College School of Law in 2007 and founded her own law firm in 2008.

Attorney Powell has served as a Special Judge in both Family and Criminal Court in Jefferson County. She was named a "Top 10 Female Attorney in Family Law" by Attorney & Practice Magazine in 2021. Birmingham Magazine also recognized her as a "Top Attorney" in 2020.

She has logged more than 6 appearances on WBRC Fox 6's Law Call and is regularly called upon to speak as an expert on domestic relations law.

She maintains memberships with the Birmingham Bar Association, Alabama Lawyers Association, Magic City Bar Association, Bessemer Bar Association, and the Metro Birmingham NAACP.

Adrienne is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and graduated from Ensley Magnet High School. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Montevallo in Political Science.

She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. as well as the Junior League of Birmingham.

Adrienne and her husband are active community volunteers, particularly with youth ministry.
