Beth Wilder

As the mother of an elementary-aged daughter in Huntsville City Schools, Wilder became deeply involved in volunteering at her child’s school with the PTA, as a Pre-K Spanish teacher, student mentor and tutor, Destination Imagination Team Manager, and after school enrichment club creator and coordinator. She also served as a substitute teacher and became an advocate for educational initiatives, both locally and at the state level. Wilder was inducted into the Blossomwood Elementary School Hall of Fame in 2017 where she continues to volunteer.

Wilder currently serves on the Alabama Association of School Boards’ Board of Directors (since 2018) and executive committee (since 2020). She is a Leadership Greater Huntsville graduate, Flagship class L-29 and Focus class F-30. She earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science from the University of Florida and was a project manager with the St. Johns River Water Management District prior to becoming a civic volunteer.
