Bob Parsons immigrated to the United States from his home country of Australia in 1994. Since his arrival, he has worked consistently in public safety has been a 911 dispatcher in the city of Chicago, a 911 dispatcher in the City of Opelika and a firefighter for the City of Opelika. Bob now serves as a fire inspector for the City of Opelika.

Bob is married to his wife Ashley, and they are parents to four boys. In his spare time, he tends to his chickens and his bees. This is Bob's first term as a councilperson.
