Brian Puckett

Brian Puckett was elected as Mayor of Helena on August 25, 2020, and took the oath of office on November 2, 2020. Before taking office as Mayor, Brian served on City Council, Place 2. Brian has been able to call Helena home since he moved here in 2005 from Auburn.

Brian is a Certified Alabama Planning and Zoning Official and is on the Board of Directors for the Alabama League of Municipalities, Regional Planning Commission of Great Birmingham, and the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the Alabama League of Municipalities Committee on Transportation, Infrastructure and Communication.

He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a Master's Degree in Business Administration that focused on Organization Leadership and Theories. Before taking office as Mayor, Brian was employed by one of the nation’s top banks, wherein his role he gained valuable experience in leading and managing a multimillion-dollar program that he is able to leverage when being a leader for Helena. Through his work experience, he holds numerous professional certifications.

Brian is married to Ashley Puckett,, and together, they have five children, Mallory (13), Alana (13), Brynna (10), Ross (9), and Abby (8). He looks forward to serving as your Mayor and leading Helena forward.
