About

Cecil grew up in Chickasaw, Alabama, the youngest of three siblings, with very loving parents and a wonderful, close-knit community that cared about all children Cecil graduated from Auburn with a degree in Agricultural Science in 1975 and married his high school sweetheart, Linda, the next year, just after she completed her Early Childhood Education degree from Auburn.

Cecil, Linda and two young daughters, Amanda and Abbey moved to Fairhope in 1984, with their third daughter, Alison, born just three weeks before the opening of their family-owned, small business, Old Tyme Feed & Garden Supply. All three daughters attended Fairhope schools from kindergarten through graduation. Amanda currently teaches for the Baldwin County School Board. Two grandsons continue the tradition of attending Fairhope Schools.

The Christenberrys are members of Fairhope United Methodist Church where Cecil has taught an adult Sunday school class since 2000. He also serves as a Certified Lay Minister and recently received a Graduate Certificate in Biblical Studies from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary with the wonderful help from all “his girls”.

Serving District 6, the Fairhope Feeder Pattern, is an honor and privilege. Cecil believes in very open communication and looks forward to the opportunity to earn the trust and respect of everyone in the district as well as the other board members and the administration of Baldwin County Public Schools.
