Who is Chadwick Smith?
Chadwick Smith

I came to know Jesus at Grace Baptist Temple when I was six years old. The last seventeen years I have hosted a Bible study teaching others about Jesus and how to study the scriptures. I occasionally do itinerate preaching for pastors in the tri-county area. I am currently learning ancient Hebrew and enjoy studying archeology, history, culture, and world religions.

I believe in the inspired Scriptures we call the Holy Bible. I believe my sin has separated me from God. The scriptures teach that Jesus is the only way back to having a right relationship with God. I believe that Jesus died on a cross for my sins, was raised from the dead by God, and conquered death so I might spend an eternity in heaven. While here, I am commanded to tell others about the wonderful gift called salvation.

I realize this is an abbreviated summary of the Christian faith. I am happy to share with you in more detail about this if you are interested as I consider it the most important decision anyone can ever make.

I continue to study the Bible and find it absolutely fascinating. One of the most insightful comments I recently read from an author is "the Bible was written for us, not to us." I find significant value in understanding the origins of our faith and the context of the scriptures.

I am the son of Edward and Brenda Smith of Prattville, AL. My wife Kelli and I have been married 26 years. We have five children ranging in age from 21 to 8 years old. Kelli teaches preschool.

Kelli and I have lived in Elmore County for over 20 years. We live on a small working farm in Deatsville. We are outdoor enthusiast and enjoy shooting sports, farming, camping, and seeing America.

I believe our Founding Fathers were wise beyond their years. As a country we have succeeded because of the favor of God. Our founding documents, electoral processes, and form of government have provided exceptional opportunities throughout history for Americans and the world.

Our country is in jeopardy. Because of our liberties, many are deliberately and maliciously attempting to dismantle what has made us great from the inside by exploiting weaknesses. I am a firm believer that we should reclaim power from the Federal government by growing less dependent on financial support. For every "security" we are provided by government we are trading in a portion of our individual liberties.

My dad took my sister and I to Europe when I was a teenager to share with us what he experienced during his service in the Army. At one stop, I stood at the remains of a brutally cold Jewish death camp. I left that place changed and forever grateful for the country I was blessed to be born a part of.

In more recent years I taught over one hundred pastors Biblical preaching in Uganda. I again experienced a life changing realization of just how much we take for granted the privileges and benefits we have not only for ourselves but for the world. We must stand as guardians of liberty in this time, so our grandchildren will have the opportunity to do the same.

I have worked for numerous corporations, and ran a successful small business. With over 20 years in the cybersecurity and information technology profession, I have worked with numerous business verticals (finance, healthcare, government, manufacturing, municipalities, universities) to develop secure technology solutions. I also speak publicly regarding cybersecurity and technology related topics to professional organizations.

I attended college at Troy State University in Montgomery. My studies were in the field of computer science. Kelli and I were married in 1995 and I began working three jobs to support our new family while Kelli finished her B.S. in Elementary Education from Auburn University at Montgomery.

Upon entering the workforce at ALFA Insurance Corporation, I was provided the opportunity to achieve multiple certifications from technology related companies. I then began a focus in cybersecurity achieving numerous certifications.

I have independently studied the Founding Fathers with David Barton's "American Heritage" Series and numerous other collegiate resources. I am a voracious book listener and reader. I have studied numerous resources regarding the origin of our founding documents, Biblical history, professional negotiations, business management, and Christian apologetics.

To be clear, I never graduated with a degree from an accredited university. This has never hindered me in any employment I have been considered for from the position of a Chief Information Security Officer, to the President of my own small business, to the role of a specialist in cybersecurity for one of the largest technology companies in the world. My success or failures have never been shaped by a diploma, but rather by the favor of God in my life and my own desires to learn what was needed to be successful.
