About

Doug Goodlin represents District 4 and has been a resident of Daphne since July 2010 when he retired from 26 years of active duty with the United States Air Force. He is a graduate of the Air Force Academy where he earned his BS degree in International Relations. After flight school, he was chosen to fly the HH-53 Super Jolly Green Giant rescue helicopter at RAF Woodbridge, United Kingdom. Following his time in Europe, he moved to Hurlburt Field, FL in the 20th Special Operations Squadron where he saw action during Operations Desert Shield and Storm. His final tour of duty was to Maxwell AFB in Montgomery where he was the Director of Operations of CAP-USAF before volunteering for a one-year tour to Iraq as an Air Advisor during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He retired in 2010 and began working as an AF JROTC Senior Aerospace Science Instructor at Daphne High school.

He is married to Mary Eisenmann Goodlin and they have four grown children. He enjoys woodworking, golf, camping, kayaking and bicycling. He is excited to be working for District 4.
