Felicia Rucker-Sumerlin

I am a mother whose son served his country in the United States Army for over 10 years only to come back to Jefferson County to be murdered. I understand and sympathize with all victims of crime but especially with the mothers who are losing their children at an alarming rate to violence.

I also understand the difficulties families face when trying to navigate and understand the initial investigative process of the criminal justice system.

After my son's violent death, I stepped up and raised his daughters. It is because of my tragedy and law enforcement experience that I am dedicated to help keep Jefferson County safe.

When families become victims of crime, I promise to be there to help guide them through the entire process of getting seeking justice.
