Greg Colvert

Greg Colvert is President Pro Tem for the Gardendale City Council. Gardendale has been home to Greg Colvert and his wife, Linda, for most of their years of marriage. They have one son, Frank. Greg’s family attends Walkers Chapel Baptist Church, where he serves as a deacon. Greg is also a member of the Gardendale Masonic Lodge.

A Vietnam veteran, Greg served his country for four years in the U.S. Navy. Professionally, Greg is a master electrician and field engineer. He retired in 2009 after 14 years as Superintendent for Marcum Electric, Inc. His work experience gives him a strong desire to support the city’s Public Works and other departments as they maintain the city’s infrastructure. Greg’s retirement allows him to focus full time on his passion for moving the city forward while maintaining the quality of life and services now enjoyed by the citizens of Gardendale.

Greg’s focus as a City Council member is on responsible fiscal policies and business growth and development. He desires to see Gardendale progress into the leading city in North Jefferson County.
