Jimmy Blake

Dr. Jimmy Blake was raised in Auburn, Alabama. His father, Dr. George Blake, was a professor at the School of Agriculture at Auburn University, and his mother, Bruce Blake was Assistant Dean at the School of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Blake is a member of the United Methodist Church. He graduated from Auburn High School in 1969 and was very active in student organizations, including Boys State and Youth legislator, President of Student Government, State Champion in track 880-yard, and a member of three years of state championship teams in Indoor, outdoor and cross country totaling nine championships. He was also active in the Boy Scouts and achieved Eagle Scout.
