About

Jennifer Wright is proud to call the Gulf Coast her home. Many years ago, she was only in Mobile for a few days when she realized she had fallen in love with the coast and the sense of community that comes from living here. Jennifer graduated from the University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama. She knew she wanted to go to law school and her journey led her to the Mississippi College for law school. Between her second and third year of law school Jennifer was a clerk for John Tyson, Jr. in the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office.

After graduating law school she moved back to Mobile and began working in the courthouse. First as a law clerk for Judge John Lockett, then she was then hired to work as an Assistant District Attorney (ADA) in Tyson’s office. During her tenure at the District Attorney’s Office, she served as a prosecutor in various roles such as District Court, Circuit Court, Juvenile Court and the Murder Team.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys boating with her family, being outdoors and reading. She also serves various civic and community organizations in Mobile such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, JH Outback, and Playhouse in the Park. Jennifer and her family are members of Cottage Hill Baptist Church.

Family is a very important part of Jennifer’s life. Her husband, Don Boykin, worked at the Mobile Police Department for nearly 15 years attaining the rank of Lieutenant over the Homicide Unit. He currently works for Cunningham Bounds, LLC as a legal investigator.

Jennifer and her husband have one daughter who graduated from St. Paul’s Episcopal School and Auburn University. She is married and currently lives and works in Atlanta for Mercedes Benz Stadium. Their youngest daughter is 11-years-old and in the 6th grade and loves to play tennis. They also have a very spoiled yellow lab named Delta, who loves being in the water as much their family does !

Jennifer will tell you that the most important thing in her life is her faith.

The best piece of advice she has ever received is to be true to who you are as a person, trust your instincts when making the tough decisions, and to be sure you can rest your head on your pillow at night. The same advice she gives to her own girls, remember who you are: You are first and foremost a child of God and to do things using your words and actions each day that will honor God first.
