About

I was born and raised in Wagarville, Alabama, a small town in Washington County. I graduated from Leroy High School and attended Faulkner State Community College until 1998, when I decided to enlist in the United States Marine Corps. My first duty station was Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, in San Diego, California. While stationed in San Diego, I earned my bachelor's degree at California State University San Marcos, and soon after, I was commissioned as an officer. I retired from the Marine Corps in 2013 under TERA (Temporary Early Retirement Authority) and moved my family to Calhoun County, Alabama, where we have been building our lives ever since.

I have a wonderful husband, Brannon Borrelli, and four boys that attend White Plains Schools where they are involved in football, basketball and baseball. Because of this, I'm fortunate to have been able to spend a lot of time in our community, volunteering with the schools and other local organizations.

In addition to my military career, I have worked in several relevant roles that have had a direct impact on my community and that have furthered my goals relating to public service.

Since January of 2020, I have served as the Finance Director for the City of Anniston. Prior to that, I served as the Chief Financial Officer for Community Action Agency, a nonprofit organization committed to assist low-income individuals and families to acquire useful skills and knowledge, gain access to new opportunities and achieve economic self-sufficiency. I currently hold a bachelor's degree in Social Science from California State University - San Marcos, a master's degree in Human Resources and Organizational Development from National University, a master's degree in Forensic Psychology from Walden University and a Juris Doctor from Birmingham School of Law.
