About

Lucas calls Limestone County home. As the son of a Chief Petty Officer, he spent most of his early life moving up and down the east coast. The Beaty family eventually settled down in Ardmore on his 13th birthday. He graduated from Ardmore High School in 2000. Like his father and both grandfathers before him, Lucas answered the call to serve his country. He enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Ft. Benning, GA., where he served as an M1A1 Armor Crewman. His duties included numerous stateside training operations that took him from the backwoods of Georgia to the Mojave Desert and deployment to Kuwait in 2002.

After completing his enlistment, he began his post-secondary education, graduating from Athens State University in 2008. He earned his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law in 2010. He is a member of the Limestone County Bar, and a Judge Advocate for the Alabama Army National Guard.
