Marcus is employed at Troy University as the Director of Government Relations. He holds both a Bachelors's and Masters's degrees from Troy University. He is married to the former Leigh Ann Steltenpohl of Dothan and is the proud father of two sons, Bradley and Cody, attending the Troy City School System. They are active members of Park Memorial United Methodist Church.
