Michael E. Key began his current term in 2020, previously serving on the council in the 1980s, 1990s, and 2010 through 2020. A Marine Corps Veteran serving in Vietnam, Mike asks the tough questions, works hard, and gets the job done. His passion for serving others extends to his service as a Charter Member of the N.E. Marine Corps League Detachment 1404 and his membership in Second Baptist Church in Fort Payne, Alabama. He and his wife Eiko, whom he married in 1972, have lived in Valley Head since 1978. They have two sons who went to school here. Also, they are grandparents to three wonderful Grands. He is now retired and able to commit much of his time to town business, serving people in Valley Head. He likes to see his town grow and prosper and is committed to exploring ways to accomplish this.
