Richard “Dick” Dayton was elected to represent District 3 in August of 2020. Since moving to Foley in 2013, he has served as president, vice president, and chairman of the architectural review committee for the Lake View Estates Property Owners Association.
Dayton is retired from a career that spanned over 35 years as an executive in franchise development, working to build brand expansion and industry growth. This included serving as national franchise sales manager for Matco Tools; president of Sunbelt Business Brokers/FranNet Franchise Development; and franchise director for Arby’s Restaurants.
He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, earning a degree in science with a major in marketing and a minor in accounting. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Regent University. He holds certificates from the International Business Brokers Association as a Certified Business Intermediary and The International Franchise Association as a Certified Franchise Executive.
Dayton volunteers at the South Baldwin Medical Center.
He has been married to Judy Dayton for 58 years and has two sons and two grandchildren.
