Thomas E. Thrash

It is my great pleasure to inform you that I am running for Circuit Court Judge Place 12 in the upcoming Democratic Primary. I love serving the citizens of Jefferson County in the Bessemer Cut-Off at Place 11 in the District Court. However, this is an opportunity to take on additional responsibilities, such as Jury Trials in Criminal Cases as well as Civil Matters that are assigned.

Many of you are aware of my work experience in law enforcement prior to coming to the bench as well as my practice as a private attorney. I served Jefferson County as a Birmingham Police Officer/Sergeant and as a Deputy Sheriff for a combined total of 25 years. I also maintained a private practice for 14 years with a focus on criminal defense and some family law including serving as a certified Guardian ad Litem.

Since coming to the bench in 2018, I have gained judicial experience, handling an average docket that exceeds 250 cases per week. These cases range from attempted murder all the way down to traffic citations. Dedication to duty is my pledge to you.

I humbly ask for your support as I seek this additional responsibility as your next Circuit Court Judge, Place 12 in the Bessemer Division. Please vote Judge Thomas Thrash in the Democratic Primary Election on May 24, 2022.
