General Information

Who is Wes Allen?
Wes Allen

Wes Allen is a lifelong Republican and is currently a member of the Alabama House of Representatives where he represents District 89, Pike and Dale Counties. Prior to his election to the legislature, he spent a decade as the Probate Judge of Pike County.

As Probate Judge, he was recognized as a reliable and committed Christian conservative and was also chosen by a bipartisan group of his peers from across the state to serve as the President of the Alabama Probate Judges Association. In the legislature, Wes has stayed true to his conservative values and has relied on his knowledge from his time as a Probate Judge to help guide his legislative choices in the Alabama State House. As Probate Judge, he ran 18 elections and did so without a single error. That election experience was key to his sponsorship and passage of a bill that bans curbside voting in Alabama, a bill that is vitally important to protecting the security of our elections. Governor Ivey signed that bill into law in May. Wes also carried legislation that will help farmers across the state by lifting the limits on the purchase of F4 farm tags for larger agricultural vehicles.

On May 7, 2021, Wes Allen announced that he is seeking the Republican nomination to become Alabama’s next Secretary of State, a role that is responsible for overseeing Alabama’s business filings and our elections process, a job for which he has the experience to do very well.

Wes graduated from the University of Alabama, where was a member of the Crimson Tide Football team. He and his wife, Cae, live in Troy where they attend First Baptist Church. They have two children, Davis and DeAnna.
