Title
Motor vehicles, buses, length and width requirements, increased, operation of articulated motor buses authorized on state highways, Sec. 32-9-21 am'd.
Description

Existing law prohibits the operation of motor buses which exceed 40 feet in length on any highway in this state

This bill would allow the operation of motor buses which do not exceed 45 feet in length on any highway in this state

This bill would also provide that it would be lawful to operate an articulated motor bus which does not exceed 60 feet in length and eight and one-half feet in width on any highway in this state

To amend Section 32-9-21 of the Code of Alabama 1975, relating to the maximum permissible length and width of motor buses which may be operated on any highway in this state; to allow motor buses which do not exceed 45 feet in length to be operated upon any highway in this state; and to allow articulated motor buses which do not exceed 60 feet in length and eight and one-half feet in width to be operated on any highway in this state.
