Title
Motor vehicles, buses, length and width requirements, increased, operation of articulated motor buses authorized on state highways, Sec. 32-9-21 am'd.
Description
<p class="bill_description"> Existing law prohibits the operation of
motor buses which exceed 40 feet in length on any
highway in this state</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would allow the operation of motor
buses which do not exceed 45 feet in length on any
highway in this state</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would also provide that it would
be lawful to operate an articulated motor bus which
does not exceed 60 feet in length and eight and
one-half feet in width on any highway in this
state</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> To amend Section 32-9-21 of the Code of Alabama
1975, relating to the maximum permissible length and width of
motor buses which may be operated on any highway in this
state; to allow motor buses which do not exceed 45 feet in
length to be operated upon any highway in this state; and to
allow articulated motor buses which do not exceed 60 feet in
length and eight and one-half feet in width to be operated on
any highway in this state.
