<p class="bill_description"> Under existing law, there are five members
of the Jefferson County Commission elected from
five districts within the county for a four-year
term</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would propose an amendment to the
Constitution of Alabama of 1901, to provide for the
districts and for the election of a four-member
county commission from single-member districts and
for the election of a chair from the county
at-large</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> To propose an amendment to the Constitution of
Alabama of 1901, relating to Jefferson County; to further
provide for the districts for the election of the county
commission and to provide for the election of a chair of the
county commission from the county at-large.
