It authorizes the sale of draft or keg beer and malt beverages by properly licensed ABC retail licensees in the City of Athens, but only with consent from the Athens City Council. It makes the sale subject to the same laws that govern bottled or canned beer. The Athens City Council may adopt ordinances to regulate these sales. It repeals conflicting laws but adds to existing laws, and the act becomes effective immediately after governor approval.
