It creates an additional $15,000 per year expense allowance for the Dale County Sheriff, payable from the county's general fund and may be counted toward retirement contributions. After the incumbent sheriff's term ends, the sheriff's annual salary would be increased by $15,000 per year, payable in equal monthly installments from the general fund, and the previous expense allowance would become void. The act takes effect immediately after passage and governor approval.
