- Description
Under existing law, the Child Labor Division of the Alabama Department of Labor is responsible for implementing child labor laws, which prohibit children from working in occupations or places of employment, which could be harmful to their health or moral well being.
This bill would clarify certain terms in existing law.
This bill would specify which documents satisfy proof of age.
This bill would require the public display of the Child Labor Certificate.
This bill would further define adult establishment and would further limit employment of children in adult establishments.
This bill would provide for the assessment of civil penalties for violations.
This bill would also define production and would clarify the role of the department in regulating the employment of children in theatrical productions.
