Title
Corrections Department, inmates, annual report to Legislature regarding demographic information and housing costs, Sec. 14-1-13 am'd
Description
<p class="bill_description"> Under existing law, the Department of
Corrections is required to submit an annual report
of its activities to the Governor and may make
recommendations to the Legislature for the better
conduct and operation of the penal and correctional
institutions of the state</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would require the Department of
Corrections to submit an annual report to the
Legislature providing a complete account of all
state inmates including certain demographic
information, as well as information relating to the
cost of housing inmates</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> To amend Section 14-1-13, Code of Alabama 1975,
relating to the Department of Corrections; to require the
Department of Corrections to submit an annual report to the
Legislature regarding certain demographic information relating
to inmates and to the cost of housing inmates.
