Bill Summary
Under existing law, the Alabama Board of Funeral Service does not require continuing education of licensed funeral directors, embalmers, and operators
This bill would require each licensee to satisfy continuing education requirements prescribed by rule of the board and would provide for exemptions
This bill would also authorize the board to provide renewal notices electronically to each licensee in lieu of mailing
To amend Section 34-13-53, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to the Alabama Board of Funeral Service; to require continuing education for licensed funeral directors, embalmers, and operators; to provide for exemptions; and to authorize the board to provide renewal notices electronically to each licensee in lieu of mailing.
