Telecommunications carriers, supervision and inspection fees reduced for fiscal year 2015-2016, 2016-2017, 2017-2018, Sec. 37-2A-10 am'd.
Description

Under existing law, certain telecommunications carriers must pay supervision and inspection fees

This bill would reduce certain telecommunications supervision and inspection fees for the fiscal years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017. This bill would provide that for the fiscal year 2017-2018, and beyond, the supervision and inspections fees shall be determined based on the gross receipts of the carrier and shall be calculated in the same manner as public transportation companies that are subject to the jurisdiction of the Public Service Commission

To amend Section 37-2A-10, Code of Alabama 1975; to reduce the supervision and inspection fees paid by certain telecommunications carriers for certain fiscal years.
