Under existing law, the Speaker of the House of Representatives or the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, or both, may designate a person to serve in his or her place on specific multi-member bodies.
This bill would authorize the Speaker or the President Pro Tempore, or both, to designate a person to serve in his or her place on any multi-member body of which he or she is member created by an act of the Legislature.
