SB205 Alabama 2016 Session

Existing law does not prohibit the Alabama Department of Public Health from issuing or renewing a health center license to an abortion clinic or reproductive health center that is located within 2,000 feet of the property or campus of a public school.

This bill would provide that the Alabama Department of Public Health may not issue or renew a health center license to an abortion clinic or reproductive health center that is located within 2,000 feet of the property or campus of a public school.

This bill would define the term "public school".

Relating to abortions; to provide that the Alabama Department of Public Health may not issue or renew a health center license to an abortion clinic or reproductive health center that is located within 2,000 feet of the property or campus of a public school; and to define the term "public school".
