HB527 changes Lauderdale County's Community Development Fund rules to allocate two-thirds of proceeds to the county commission and one-third to the county's agriculture authority once an agriculture authority is established.
It amends the distribution rule for the Lauderdale County Community Development Fund so that, after an agriculture authority is created, two-thirds of the proceeds go to the Lauderdale County Community Development Commission and one-third go to the agriculture authority. The fund is managed by the Commission and used for economic development, education, recreation, conservation, and fire protection, among other authorized purposes. The fund is funded by the additional 3% TVA in-lieu-of-tax payments starting in the fiscal year that began October 1, 2006.
