Title
Corrections Dept., Dept. of Finance, purchasing division, to provide exemptions from purchasing requirements, Sec. 14-7-8 am'd.
Description
Under existing law, the Department of Corrections is authorized to purchase equipment, raw materials, and supplies necessary for the manufacture or production of prison-made goods
This bill would provide that the Department of Corrections is authorized to make such a purchase without going through state purchasing
To amend Section 14-7-8, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to purchases by the Department of Corrections for the manufacture or production of prison-made goods; to exempt the Department of Corrections from the purchasing through the Division of Purchasing of the Department of Finance.
