Bill Summary
Under existing law, a local board of education is required to post notice of each personnel vacancy in a conspicuous place at each school campus and worksite at least 14 days before the position is to be filled.
This bill would require the local board of education to post notice of each personnel vacancy on the board website, at a minimum, or in a conspicuous place at each school campus and worksite, at least seven days before the position is to be filled.
To amend Section 16-22-15, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to the posting of personnel vacancies by a local board of education; to require the local board of education to post notice of each personnel vacancy on the board website, at a minimum; and to decrease the time required for posting a personnel vacancy notice from 14 to seven calendar days before the position is to be filled.
