Title
Motor vehicles, commercial vehicles with three or more axels, interstate highways and four-lane highways, outside of municipal corporate limits, required to use right lanes under certain conditions, exception for passing, Sec. 32-5A-80 am'd.
Description

Under current law, a motor vehicle traveling at less than the normal speed of traffic is required to travel in the right-hand lane or as close to the right-hand curb or edge of the roadway as practicable.

This bill would specify that, on interstate highways and U.S. highways, a commercial motor vehicle having three or more axles would be required to travel in the right lanes unless passing or under certain other conditions.

Relating to motor vehicles and traffic; to amend Section 32-5A-80, Code of Alabama 1975, to specify that, on interstate highways and U.S. highways, a commercial motor vehicle would be required to travel in the right lanes unless passing or under certain conditions; and to provide exceptions.
