ENROLLED, House Joint Resolution,
MOURNING THE DEATH AND CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF MRS.
ERNESTINE LEATH.
WHEREAS, we deeply regret to learn of the death of
Mrs. Ernestine Leath of Rainbow City, Alabama, on January 1,
2018, at the age of 68 years, and we uplift her legacy with
utmost reverence and respect; and
WHEREAS, the passing of Mrs. Ernestine Leath leaves
a void in the lives of her loving family, many friends, and
the entire community, where she was highly regarded; and
WHEREAS, survivors include her beloved and devoted
husband of 48 years, Melvin "Frankie" Leath, Jr.; two
beautiful grandchildren, Tessa Ann and Trace Addison Leath;
sisters, Gwen (Randy) Kelly, Bonnie Champion, Dean Laney, and
Gail Hill; brothers, Ken (Nancy) Addison and Mike (Theresa)
Addison; favorite niece, Cindy O'Grady; and many other nieces
and nephews; she was preceded in death by her parents, Verna
B. and Acton A. Addison; brothers, Gene and Harold Addison;
sister, Helen; and son, Kevin Shane Leath; and
WHEREAS, the passing of Mrs. Ernestine Leath leaves
a void in the lives of her loving family, many friends, and
the entire community, where she was highly regarded; and

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH
HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That while grieving the death of
Mrs. Ernestine Leath, we are extremely grateful for her
abundant life, and we offer this resolution in highest tribute
of her memory, as well as in heartfelt sympathy to her family
and friends.
