MOURNING THE DEATH OF MRS. PATRICIA A. HAMILTON.
WHEREAS, it is with profound sorrow that we note the
death on January 29, 2018, of Mrs. Patricia A. Hamilton of
Attalla, Alabama, and
WHEREAS, her passing leaves a void in the lives of
her loving family, many friends, and the entire community,
where she was highly regarded; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Hamilton, born on October 5, 1936, was
a longtime member of Cherry Street Baptist Church where she
served as church secretary for many years; and
WHEREAS, lovingly referred to as "Mawmaw" by her
grandchildren, she enjoyed spending time reading and
entertaining her beloved grandchildren and
great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Hamilton was preceded in death by her
parents, Ed and Mary Denson; and son, Scott Denson Wetzel; and
WHEREAS, survivors include her loving husband, Billy
Hamilton; daughter, Mary Maddox (Mike); sons, Matthew Wetzel
and John Wetzel (Shyrie); stepchildren, Phillip Hamilton
(Nadja), Diane Pruitt (Steve), Donna Pike (Steven) and Jason
Hamilton sister, Betty Sue Nordgren (Alan); and a host of
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family; and
WHEREAS, although Mrs. Hamilton will be greatly
missed, her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved
her; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF
THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the death of Mrs. Patricia A.
Hamilton is recorded with deep sadness, and this resolution is
offered in tribute to her life and with heartfelt sympathy to
her family, whose grief is shared by many.
