RECOGNIZING NATHANIEL W. MARTIN (WALLER) ON BEING
NAMED THE 2018 ALABAMA NATIONAL DISTINGUISHED PRINCIPAL OF THE
YEAR.
WHEREAS, highest commendations and congratulations
are herein proudly presented to Nathaniel W. Martin (Waller)
on being named the 2018 Alabama National Distinguished
Principal of the Year by the Alabama Association of Elementary
School Administrators (AAESA); and
WHEREAS, Nathaniel W. Martin has contributed
exceptional direction as principal of the Enterprise Early
Education Center (EEEC) in the Enterprise City School System
since 2009; and
WHEREAS, Nathaniel W. Martin places the best
interests of his students first and tirelessly strives to
create an atmosphere that propels teachers towards
achievement; his leadership has positively impacted the
students, teachers, and parents of his school and school
system; and
WHEREAS, his extensive record of excellence includes
developing engaging learning walks for teachers to equip their
students for academic and social success, encouraging
collaboration among staff, parents, and the community and
soliciting input from parents and community stakeholders
regarding ways to improve the school when implementing a new
program, empowering learners to take ownership of their
education as they develop a deep understanding and mastery of
the standards, establishing and implementing a standards based
report card, advocating character education and implementing
school-wide programs such as "Bucket Fillers," and creating a
healthy balance between academics, play, technology, and the
celebration of large and small feats by Enterprise Early
Education Center students; and
WHEREAS, with an unwavering commitment to excellence
in the rewarding field of education, Nathaniel W. Martin
reflects immense credit upon the entire State of Alabama, and
he is truly deserving of special commendation and praise; now
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF
THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That Nathaniel W. Martin is highly
honored and commended, and this resolution is offered to him
in deepest admiration and appreciation for his significant
contributions to education, as well as with sincere best
wishes for continued success in all future endeavors.
