HR442 193567-1 By Representative Sanderford RFD: First Read: 20-MAR-18 193567-1:n:03/20/2018:AR/AR LSA2018-1439 MOURNING THE DEATH OF ROBERT L. NATHAN. WHEREAS, it is with profound sorrow that we note the death on March 14, 2018, of Robert L. Nathan of Huntsville, Alabama, at the age of 89 years; and WHEREAS, Mr. Nathan was born March 28, 1928, in Illinois to Leroy and Anna Nathan; and WHEREAS, Mr. Nathan served in the U.S. Army and always supported our troops; he worked as an engineer for Philco-Ford in the early years of his career; he was the owner of Arlyn Associates; he was active in the local AUSA and Rotary Club in Huntsville; and WHEREAS, well-known and beloved by many, Mr. Nathan lived a life of honesty, integrity, humility, hard work, love of family, and supportive of the basic things that make a community; and WHEREAS, he is survived by his wife, Carolyn; sister Patricia; children, Ken and Sharon; and his granddaughter, Lauren; and WHEREAS, the passing of Robert L. Nathan leaves a void in the lives of his loving family, many friends, and the entire community, where he was highly regarded; his presence will be greatly missed, but his memory will be cherished in the hearts of all who knew and loved him; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the death of Robert L. Nathan is recorded with deep sadness, and this resolution is offered in highest tribute to his life, along with heartfelt sympathy to his grieving family.
