CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF COURTLIN LA'SHAWN ARRINGTON.
WHEREAS, it is with profound sorrow that we note the
untimely death on March 7, 2018, of Courtlin La'Shawn
Arrington of Birmingham, Alabama, at the age of 17 years; and
WHEREAS, her passing leaves a void in the lives of
her loving family, many friends, and the entire community,
where she was highly regarded; and
WHEREAS, Courtlin was born on April 17, 2000, to
Tynesha Tatum and Courtney Arrington in Birmingham, Alabama;
and
WHEREAS, she was educated in the Birmingham City
School System and was a graduating senior at Huffman High
School; and
WHEREAS, Courtlin confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord
and Savior and was a member of The Rock Church; and
WHEREAS, she was preceded in death by her
grandmother, Geraldine Tatum; and aunt, Regina Hamm; and
WHEREAS, survivors include her mother, Tynesha
Tatum; father, Courtney Arrington; stepfather, Derrick Hardy;
sister, Tamera Tatum; brother, Gera'Mich Tatum; grandmother,
Terrie Tatum; grandfathers, Zac Arrington, and Timothy
Hardgrove (Carolyn); uncles, William Tatum (Shekeitha), John
Tatum, and Tamarreo Tatum (Inger); great uncles, Buch Tatum,
William Tatum, and Anthony Bryant (Ella); special cousins,
Sid'Liyah Williams and Creonna Broadnax; special friend,
Darius Craig; best friends, Serinity, Makayla, and Lemond;
very close family friend, Amy McClease; and a host of other
family and friends; and
WHEREAS, although her presence will be greatly
missed, the memory of Courtlin will be cherished in the hearts
of all who knew and loved her; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF
THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the death of Courtlin
La'Shawn Arrington is recorded with deep sadness, and this
resolution is offered in tribute to her life and with
heartfelt sympathy to her family, whose grief is shared by
many.
