HR499 193995-1 By Representative Gaston RFD: First Read: 27-MAR-18 193995-1:n:03/27/2018:DSM/cr LSA2018-1544 COMMENDING THE ALABAMA LAW INSTITUTE HOUSE INTERNS FOR EXEMPLARY SERVICE DURING THE 2018 LEGISLATIVE SESSION. WHEREAS, highest commendation is herein extended to the Alabama Law Institute House Interns for exemplary service during the 2018 Legislative Session; and WHEREAS, the Alabama Legislative Internship program was established to include student interns in the state legislative experience by allowing them to observe and participate in the legislative process of state government, and the program has evolved into an integral part of the Alabama Legislature; and WHEREAS, during their tenure with the House of Representatives, Daniel Hall Autrey, Jr., Emily Bowen, Walker Harris, Katie Korenek, Nkem Obata, and Sean Powell mastered complex legislative issues and assisted staff members with numerous undertakings; and WHEREAS, these remarkable Alabama Law Institute House Interns made a lasting impression by demonstrating a keen interest in the legislative process, exhibiting a spirit of service and devotion to the public good, and completing tasks with attention to detail; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That highest commendation is extended to the 2018 Alabama Law Institute House Interns for their exemplary service, and it is directed that a copy of this resolution be presented to each of them in admiration and appreciation, along with best wishes for continuing success in future endeavors.
