HR500 193992-1 By Representative Gaston RFD: First Read: 27-MAR-18 193992-1:n:03/27/2018:DSM/cr LSA2018-1543 COMMENDING THE ALABAMA LAW INSTITUTE LAW CLERKS FOR EXEMPLARY SERVICE DURING THE 2018 LEGISLATIVE SESSION. WHEREAS, highest commendation is herein extended to the Alabama Law Institute Law Clerks for exemplary service during the 2017 Legislative Session; and WHEREAS, established in 2013, the Alabama Law Institute's Legislative Law Clerk Program provides a golden opportunity for law students from each of Alabama's accredited law schools to attain invaluable knowledge and experience while assisting in legislative research and drafting during the Legislative Session; and WHEREAS, during their tenure with the Alabama Legislature, Joseph Dantin, Luke Kiszla, and Ambreshia Landrum assisted legislators in researching legal points of law as well as in determining how others states have dealt with issues of interest and also assisted the committee chairs by reviewing legislation pending before their committees; and WHEREAS, these remarkable Alabama Law Institute Law Clerks made a lasting impression by demonstrating a keen interest in the legislative process, exhibiting a spirit of service and devotion to the public good, and completing tasks with attention to detail; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That highest commendation is extended to the 2018 Alabama Law Institute Law Clerks for their exemplary service, and it is directed that a copy of this resolution be presented to each of them in admiration and appreciation, along with best wishes for continuing success in future endeavors.
