HR524 194102-1 By Representative Coleman RFD: First Read: 29-MAR-18 194102-1:n:03/28/2018:KBH/th LSA2018-1572 MOURNING THE DEATH OF MRS. BETTIE JOE CAMPBELL HENNINGTON GEORGE-PINKNEY. WHEREAS, we note with great sadness the death of Mrs. Bettie Joe Campbell Hennington George-Pinkney at the age of 80 years; and WHEREAS, she was born on September 14, 1937, to the late A.B. and Dora Campbell and departed this life on March 25, 2018; and WHEREAS, she spent her younger years at Thomas Chapel AME Zion Church and in 2002 joined Integrity Bible Church, where her son is the pastor; and WHEREAS, she retired after more than 32 years from Lloyd Nolan Hospital where she was a nurse; she was known for her servant attitude and was unanimously voted favorite nurse by her shift coworkers; and WHEREAS, Bettie served as Worthy Matron of OES Adah Chapter 25 and also served as Secretary of the Grasselli Heights Community; and WHEREAS, all who came in contact with her loved her smile, her laughter, but most of all her humor; and WHEREAS, left to cherish her memory are her spouse, Willie Pinkney, daughter, Wanda Jackson (John), son, Pastor Broderick Hennington (Venandee), granddaughters, Dorian Jackson and Valiance Hennington, brother, Mack Campbell (Rubie), stepchildren, Belinda George-Peoples (and son, Terrance), Victoria George, Derick Mobley (Cheryl), Robert Pinkney, Audrey Lowe, and a host of other beloved relatives and friends; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That we deeply mourn the death of Mrs. Bettie Joe Campbell Hennington George-Pinkney, and by copy of this resolution, extend our heartfelt sympathies to her family.
