MOURNING THE DEATH OF BARBARA DENISE BAKER.
WHEREAS, it is with profound sorrow that we note the
death on January 10, 2018, of Mrs. Barbara Denise Baker of
Altoona, Alabama, at the age of 59 years; and
WHEREAS, her passing leaves a void in the lives of
her loving family, many friends, and the entire community,
where she was highly regarded; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Baker was born on January 17, 1958, to
Floyd and Velma Mayo; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Baker will be remembered for her
devoted and caring nature and her dedication to her family;
and
WHEREAS, she was preceded in death by her parents;
and sister, Mary Burch; and
WHEREAS, survivors include her devoted husband of 29
years, Erskine "Pappy" Baker; sisters, Brenda Torabi and Diane
Larkin (Tim); stepdaughter, Debra Parker; step-granddaughters,
Kelsey Thomas and Lexi Thomas; special friend and cousin, Ann
Woody; and a host of nieces and nephews; and
WHEREAS, although her presence will be greatly
missed, the memory of Mrs. Baker will be cherished in the
hearts of all who knew and loved her; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF
THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the death of Mrs. Barbara
Denise Baker is recorded with deep sadness, and this
resolution is offered in tribute to her life and with
heartfelt sympathy to her family, whose grief is shared by
many.
