- Forests, appropriation to the Emergency Forest Fire, Insect and Disease Fund from state General Fund and max amount of accumulation, increased, Sec. 9-3-10.1 am'd.
- Description
Under existing law, $180,000 is appropriated automatically from the state General Fund to the Emergency Forest Fire, Insect and Disease Fund at the beginning of each fiscal year. Also under existing law, this emergency fund can not exceed a total accumulated amount of $1,000,000.
This bill would increase the automatic appropriated amount from the General Fund provided to the Emergency Forest Fire, Insect and Disease Fund at the beginning of each fiscal year to $250,000 annually and would also increase the maximum accumulated amount in the fund to $2,000,000.
