Title

University of North Alabama, technical correction removing reference to State Superintendent of Edu., at-large member from within or without state added, Secs. 16-51-1, 16-51-3 am'd.

Description

Under existing law, the membership of the Board of Trustees for the University of North Alabama does not include the office of the State Superintendent of Education and includes one at-large member who may be from within or without the state.

This bill would make a technical correction to remove a reference to the State Superintendent of Education in the law establishing the membership of the board as a body corporate under the name of the university.

This bill would also add an additional at-large member, who may be from within or without the state, to the board.
