Title
Insurance, Dept. of Insurance, Strengthen Alabama Homes Program, to maintain confidential documents, materials, and other information submitted by property owners, Sec. 27-31E-3 am'd.
Description

Under existing law, certain residential property owners may apply for a grant to retrofit an insurable property to resist loss due to hurricane, tornado, or other catastrophic windstorm events through the Strengthen Alabama Homes Program.

This bill would require the Strengthen Alabama Homes Program within the Department of Insurance to maintain as confidential all documents and information submitted by property owners or insurance companies in support of grant applications.

Relating to insurance; to amend Section 27-31E-3, Code of Alabama 1975, to require the Strengthen Alabama Homes Program within the Department of Insurance to maintain as confidential all documents, materials, and other information submitted by property owners and insurance companies in support of grant applications.
