- Vaccine mandates, prohibited unless federally required, vaccine exemption for medical and religious reasons created, parental consent for minor to receive COVID-19 vaccine required
- Description
This bill would prohibit an employer from mandating vaccinations unless explicitly mandated by federal law and would require an employer to offer employees alternatives to vaccinations in the work place.
Under existing law, a minor age 14 years or older may consent to medical treatment for himself or herself.
This bill would provide that a minor may not receive any required vaccine for COVID-19 without parental consent.
This bill would also provide an exemption from vaccination requirements if the vaccine is medically contraindicated or against the recipient's religious beliefs.
This term would define vaccination and vaccine for purposes of this act.
