Description
<p class="bill_description"> Under current law, the Alabama Historical
Records Advisory Board develops state priorities
for historical records, advises the state archives,
and serves as a liaison to the National Historical
Publications and Records Commission. The board
consists of 15 members</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would revise the membership of the
Alabama Historical Records Advisory Board</p><p class="bill_description">
Under current law, the Board of Advisors to
the Alabama Historical Commission consists of at
least 15 members. Over 40 entities within Alabama
are authorized to name members to the board of
advisors</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would revise the list of entities
that are authorized to name members to the Board of
Advisors to the Alabama Historical Commission</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would also make nonsubstantive,
technical revisions to update the existing code
language to current style</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> Relating to state boards; to amend Section 41-6-103,
Code of Alabama 1975, to revise the membership of the Alabama
Historical Records Advisory Board; to amend Section 41-9-246,
Code of Alabama 1975, to revise the list of entities that may
name members to the Board of Advisors to the Alabama
Historical Commission; and to make nonstubstantive, technical
revisions to update the existing code language to current
style.
