Bill Summary
Current law provides for the establishment of economic development authorities by general or local law.
This bill would authorize an economic development authority distributing monies from an economic development fund established by local law to expend from that fund an equal match of up to five million dollars ($5,000,000) for the creation of a workforce training and development center on property owned by the county commission of a county in which the authority operates.
Relating to economic development authorities; to provide that an economic development authority distributing monies from an economic development fund established by local law may match funds for the creation of a workforce training and development center on property owned by certain county commissions, under certain conditions.
