Description
<p class="bill_description"> This bill would modify the retirement
benefits for Tier II plan members of the Teachers'
Retirement System by providing 30-year service
retirement</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would also increase the member
contribution rate</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> To amend Section 16-25-14, as amended by Act
2021-270 of the 2021 Regular Session, and Section 16-25-21, as
amended by Act 2021-537 of the 2021 Regular Session, Code of
Alabama 1975, relating to retirement benefits for employees
who are members of the Teachers' Retirement System; to modify
the retirement benefits for Tier II plan members of the
Teachers' Retirement System by providing 30-year service
retirement; and to increase the member contribution rate.
